The afternoons are generally breezy. The nights are very chilling and temperature drops below 0o Celsius. For Hindus, a circumambulation of Mount Kailash and a dip in the cold waters of Lake Manasarovar removes the sins of all lifetimes, bringing salvation from reincarnation. Along with Hinduism it is a very sacred spot in the religions of Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and Tibetan Bonpo as well.
